Can ICON 2007-2014 FJ Cruiser rear shocks be used with stock coil springs?

No, the ICON rear FJ Cruiser shocks are designed to gain wheel travel over stock.

The added wheel travel provided by the ICON units will allow for the factory coil spring to come loose at full extension. ICON recommends using the ICON coil spring kit (Part #52700 or 52800) to complement the shock. If the factory coil spring is what you’d rather use on your vehicle there are two options - you can use a minimum of 1” thick urethane spacer, or you can opt to have a custom version of the ICON 2.0 Aluminum Series or 2.5 Series shock designed with the extended length of a factory shock.
