How do you gain access to the grease zerk fitting on the 2007-2014 FJ Cruiser rear lower links? Follow
The ICON 54000 billet lower link system has a greaseable zerk fitting at the axle housing mounting point. The fitting is located at the end of the link, and the grease adapter will have to go from the top down. In order to gain access to that zerk fitting the grease adapter will have to be inserted past the reinforcement tab on the axle. This may require lifting the vehicle on one side in order align the port with the hole in the axle housing.
Some aftermarket trailing link manufacturers require the tab to be removed or cut off of the vehicle. The ICON system simply requires an adapter to convert a traditional zerk to a low-profile needle style available on our website.
